Neil DeGrasse Tyson’s StarTalk Video Show
Any regular reader of mine knows that I’m a turbodork for spacey-wacey type things. Those same readers would probably know that I am a super fanboy for Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Well, The Nerdist Channel finally launched the show that I’ve been looking forward to the most, StarTalk! Those of you that are fans of Dr. Tyson yourselves are probably familiar with his podcast, StarTalk Radio, and this video show is a video version of those live shows. I’ve taken to calling the show StarTalk Video. You can watch episode 1 above, but I wanted to throw some of my favorite Neil-isms into this post, as well, in case this happens to be the first time you’ve ever heard the name.
Neil DeGrasse Tyson on The Most Astounding Fact About the Universe
You may or may not support space exploration, but this little tidbit shows Neil’s passion for the subject and I couldn’t say it better, “We Stopped Dreaming”.
Dr. Tyson is often claimed by Atheists and attacked religious bloggers and such. Here, Dr. Tyson sets the record straight about his atheist affiliations on the “Big Think”.
Here’s another “Big Think” video talking to Dr. Tyson on the subject of science vs. religion.
That’s it for this post. I just wanted to take a moment to thank and point out a great man, an amazing scientist and a man who takes big ideas and shrinks them down to be understood by non-scientists. As a child, I loved space! Thanks to Dr. Tyson for helping me re-discover my love for space and space science with his amazing podcast, Tweets and, now, YouTube Show!
